This weekend as we go about our Fourth of July celebrations please take a moment and remember our troops. Remember those who have gone before us and fought so that we may be free. Remember also those who are currently serving in our Military. Smile and say ‘Thank You’ if you happen to meet anyone in the armed services. This past winter I was at the airport with my family. We were going on vacation and we shared a table in the food court with a young man who was returning from a tour of duty. He was on his way home and had one more flight to catch. We listened as he spoke about his family and how eager he was to get home and see them. We thanked him for his service to our country and wished him well when he got up to leave. He thanked us for spending a little time with him. Imagine that!
