Whenever possible I spend time outside. I am a sunshine girl. I am happiest when the sun is shining. Now that summer is here and it is lovely and warm outside I am even more drawn to the outdoors. I make time to be outside in the garden. I do some of my best thinking when I am out there pulling weeds, trimming plants, and simply enjoying the fruits of my labor. Yes (to answer your question) I do make sure to apply sunblock. I do it everyday and I encourage all of you to do so as well. I am a big believer in sun block and protection. My husband, my mother , and my brother have all had bouts with skin cancer and I am taking no chances. I even wear a hat to shield my face from the direct rays. My sister-in-law bought my husband one of those great shirts that helps to block the sun’s rays. He loves it. It is long sleeved but not hot. It is so important to take this simple precaution before spending time outside. You know what they say “an ounce of protection is worth a pound of cure”. So please take the few extra seconds and apply sun block, wear a hat and go out and enjoy the sunshine!
