Home Organization will reduce stress and anxiety. When you walk into your house, whether it is through the front door, the garage, or a side door you want to walk into your place of refuge. The last thing you want is to find more stress and anxiety because your home is cluttered.

DNQ Solutions will help you organize your home in such a way that there is a place for everything you need. I provide simple solutions for all your home organizing needs to increase the efficiency and order in your home. We will pay particular attention to the following rooms:

Closets

Home Organization: Closets

  • Remove clothes that do not fit.
  • Remove any clothes that you no longer want.
  • Decide where to donate or sell them.
  • Remove  and toss clothes that are beyond repair.
  • Organize the remaining clothes.
  • Store other items in clear, labeled containers, so items can be easily located.

Kitchen/Pantry

Home Organization: Kitchen

DNQ Solutions will help you organize the kitchen cupboards and drawers such a way so that you have easy access to the things you use most frequently. Store the trays, pots, pans or serving dishes that you use only occasionally or on special occasions out of the way.

Organize and store the non-perishable food staples in the pantry so that you can easily see what you have. You do not want to waste money buying things you already have in your cupboard.

Garage

Home Organization: Garage

Organize the garage so that your car fits easily in its place. Group other items like lawn care and gardening tools, outdoor toys, sporting equipment, coolers etc.  together and then store them neatly. If possible, we will make use of verticle space by installing shelving or hanging some tools from hooks on the walls.

Attic or Basement Storage Rooms

Home Organization: Attic or Basement Storage Rooms

Store things in these places that you want and that you use from time to time. For instance:

  • Suitcases
  • Holiday Decorations
  • Toys that are in good condition that can be passed from one child to the next
  • Clothes that are in good condition and can be passed on to the next child
  • Furniture that is in good condition and will be used – maybe as a child grows up.

We will work together and group like items, place them in clear containers (if appropriate), and label them for easy reference.

Children’s Playroom

Home Organization: Children’s Playroom or Toys

The best way to keep a children’s playroom in decent shape is to have a place for every toy (or category of toys) and to teach the children to put things away when play time is over.

We all know that this does not always happen. Make life easy for yourself by making it obvious for everyone to know where to put these toys. I have lots of creative ideas to share about how to organize and store children’s toys.

Have designated spots for stuffed animals, books, CDs, legos, blocks, games, paint, crayons, paper… etc. Put a picture of the item on the container so that even the children can figure out where to put the toys.

Bedrooms

Home Organization: Bedrooms

Make your bedrooms a quiet and relaxing place.  Keep them clutter free so that your mind doesn’t worry about dealing with all the stuff and so that you can have a good night’s sleep.
